Pleased To Meet You! 

We’re Proof, a couple from Oakland that is in love with spirits and beer in their many forms. At Proof we believe that the craft behind mixology and brewing isn’t just for the bartenders and brewers, the formally trained, and the aficionados. Cocktails and craft beer are for anyone who wants to drink well. We abide by 3 principles: simple, playful, delightful. 

With beer we mostly explore our nearby offerings, but never skip on trying regional breweries when we travel. When shopping for cans, we’re almost always drawn to the aesthetically pleasing labels and love exploring how the flavor and art interplay with one another. 

With cocktails we highlight unusual spirits, simple recipes, not-so-simple recipes, riffs on classics, bar tips and bar menus that get us inspired. At the end of the day our goal with cocktails and spirits is creativity and fun! 

Andrea is a UX designer by trade, illustrator and rock climber by passion. Coming from Cali, Colombia she draws a lot of inspiration from her Latin roots. She is the visual mind behind the project. All shoots and photographs are art directed by her careful eye for detail, and our website is her life blood! 

Devin is an event producer/musician and forms the technical side of the house. Native from Northern California Devin is a great guide for the local spots. One of his favorite things is to take friends on a Tour de Brew, where they hop on bikes and visit his favorite Oakland breweries. He shoots and edits all of our published photos, edits any video content and once upon a time composed all of our background music. 

At the end of the day they’re just enthusiasts, learning as they go. Together they research unique spirits, beers, and share the joy of creating recipes for the site!
