Ingredients

  • 2oz aged rum - we used @plantation.rum 5 years

  • ¾ oz banana liqueur - we used @Giffardusa Banane du Bresil

  • ¼ oz @st_agrestis amaro, you could probably get away with other Amaros like Meletti, Ramazzotti, or Montenegro for this.

  • ¼ oz All Spice Dram - we used St. Elizabeth. You could sub in Angostura bitters for this flavor if needed.

  • 2 dashes @elguapobitters Polynesian Kiss bitters. Again, If you don’t have these you can probably get a similar flavor by just using Angostura or a different baking spice bitter.

  • Optional addition: 1 ½ oz of drinking (not cooking) coconut milk for a toned down, more milky flavor!

Tools

  • Stirring glas

  • Stirring spoon

  • Julep strainer

  • Optional: Kitchen torch if you want to get a crunchy and sweet banana slice for your garnish.

Recipe

  • Stir all ingredients in mixing glass with ice until sweating.

  • Strain over one large cube

  • Garnish with dried banana or sugar coated/torched banana.
