Oaxacan Reviver Número Dos

We were recently gifted this bottle of Rosé Apertivo from @thestarlino for experimenting with, so heads up that this recipe is a sponsored one. Somewhere between a sweet vermouth and an aperitivo, this bottle brings notes of citrus, strawberry and elderflower notes to the mix. We decided to try this one out in a Corpse Reviver No. 2 potato head exercise (wherein we swapped out almost all the ingredients but abided by it’s 1:1:1:1 framework and general preparation). The resulting drink was refreshing, floral, cirtusy, smoky, and quite honestly an absolute banger that we wouldn’t mind having poolside or in the backyard as the weather heats up.

  • 0.75oz Mezcal - we used @mezcal_yuu_baal

  • 0.75oz Starlino Rosé Apertivo (honestly you could still use Lillet Rosé to get a similar effect)

  • Very small amount of absinthe for rinsing or spritzing glass with - we used @stgeorgespirits

Tools

  • Shaker

  • Hawthorne strainer

  • Mesh strainer

  • Spray chilled coupe with absinthe.
