Rum-Toddy
Since the month started we have been drinking our daily dose of hot drinks and the Rum-Toddy has been a repeat on multiple nights. This drink carries an obvious holiday vibe but with a kick, We love rum drinks, we love hot toddy’s, we decided we needed to find a middle ground. With some Ginger Tumeric tea from Trader Joe’s and rum, we were able to create a hot riff on the dark and stormy, a classic rum highball that we’ve always loved.
Ingredients
1oz rum, we used @barbancourthaiti
½ oz @tuaca
3/4oz Lemon
Ginger turmeric tea @traderjoes
Tools
Mug
Bar Spoon
Instructions
Prepare tea in mug according to tea bag
Leave room for other ingredients or ensure that you only use 6oz of hot water
Add rum, Tuaca and lemon juice
Stir with barspoon
Garnish with lemon wheel and cinnamon stick
