Pom Pom Marg

We love a good margarita…. year-round but for these colder months we thought we could make a special edition! By subbing in Aperol for Cointreau, adding a hint of spice from Ancho Reyes, adding pomegranate juice to the equation and adding a hint of cinnamon, we feel like this margarita is ready to hit the snow!! The torched cinnamon stick adds insane aromatics into the equation and lightly adds a cinnamon flavor through the drinking experience.

Ingredients

  • 1.5oz Tequila - we used @tequila_arette

  • 0.5oz Aperol - @aperolspritzofficial

  • 0.25 Ancho Reyes - @anchoreyes

  • 0.5oz Agave syrup - we’ve been using @tresagaves but this could easily be made using 1:1 of agave nectar and water and bringing that to a boil then letting it cool overnight in the fridge before using

  • 0.5oz Pomegranate juice

  • 0.75oz fresh squeezed lime juice

  • One pinch of cinnamon

Tools

  • Shaker

  • Hawthorne strainer

  • Mesh strainer

Instruction

  • Shake all ingredients with ice

  • Strain over fresh ice into chilled

  • Salt-rimmed glass

  • Garnish with a torched cinnamon stick
