Santa’s Been Fired (A 2020 Xmas Story)

2020 holiday season - strange to say the least but hey! we made it to the end of this year. This drink is our imagining of Santa having to cancel his usual plans due to Covid, just like the rest of us. We think this is what he might whip up, somewhere between a glass of milk, a plate of gingerbread cookies, and a large helping of rum.

Ingredients

• 1.5oz Jamaican rum - we used Smith and Cross

• 1.5oz Gold rum - we used @barbancourthaiti

• 0.5oz Banana Liquor - we used @giffardusa

• 0.75 Gingerbread syrup - see previous posts or link in bio!

• 2oz coconut milk alternative (not cooking coconut milk)

• 0.5oz coconut cream we used @realcocktailingredients

• 0.75oz lemon juice

Tools

• Shaker

• Crushed ice

Instruction

• Add all ingredients to shaker tin and shake with crushed ice.

• Dump beverage with ice into Tiki mug or Santa mug if you got one!

• Garnish with fresh cinnamon

• Flame garnish: If you’re feeling adventurous, place a piece of 151 proof soaked bread in a lemon hull on top of the drink, light with a match and sprinkle cinnamon on top. The burnt cinnamon scent is PURE ECSTACY!
